Reset My iPhone 3G

Soft reset:
Step 1:
Make a backup. Be aware you may lose data in the process of resetting your mobile device.

Step 2:
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button (Sleep/Wakebutton is the one at the top to the richt) and the Home button (Home button is the one at the bottom in the center) at the same time for ten seconds, the Apple logo will appear.
